Congress newsletters keep physicians up-to-date on prostate cancer

Problem

The key congresses provide an overload of information, therefore physicians are interested in receiving a summary of the findings presented quickly after the congress.

Solution

Shortly after congresses, a newsletter provides physicians with the most important findings on prostate cancer, as well as the implication of the new data on current clinical practice.

This newsletter offers physicians a good opportunity to focus on the most important news in prostate cancer. I am really satisfied with the way we work with Ismar, very forward thinking and useful. Thorsten Haug, Astellas Germany

How we prepare a congress newsletter

How we prepare a congress newsletter

A medical writer from Ismar attends the congress and makes a selection of the most relevant findings presented during the plenary sessions, poster sessions and oral presentations. These are summarized in the newsletter, with a balance between text and graphs or tables. Also included are the implications of the new data on current clinical practice. The newsletter is available within 3 weeks after the congress.

Congress newsletters

Dissemination to the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany

In the Netherlands and Belgium, the newsletters are distributed via the sales reps to urologists, radiation oncologists and medical oncologists. In Germany, a translated version of the newsletter is distributed to urologists. The acceptance of the newsletter is very high as it offers an independent overview of highly relevant new findings.
